History of the Inn

The Lakeside Inn at Dale Hollow [formerly the Obey River Inn] was originally opened in 1986 as a local grocery and barroom. In 1996 new owners decided to turn the store into a motel and the Obey River Inn was created. The previous owners added four additional rooms in 2005 and the motel now has 11 rooms for guests to enjoy. New owners, Alex and Rachel, bought the property in September of 2020 and got to work renovating and remodeling. Doing most of the work themselves made the process of opening Lakeside Inn that much more rewarding. They can’t wait to share their new motel with friends, family and guests from all across the country!
